We're very attached to acerola cherries. You see, we've learned lots about fruit since starting innocent a few years ago, but acerola cherries are about the most exciting find of all. For a start, they have three pips in them, which you can find by looking for the grooves in the surface of the fruit.

a great shade of red
What's more, they taste very nice and they're a great shade of red. They're dead exotic too - their home territory is the Caribbean, where people have been using them to make pies and jam and stuff for a very long time. (They're widely known as the Barbados cherry in that part of the world.)

unbelievable amounts of vitamin C
But the best thing about them is that they contain unbelievable amounts of vitamin C - 20 times the amount that oranges contain (by weight). So we just had to find them a home here at Fruit Towers, and that home is rightfully in our vitamin C super smoothie.
