Chinese medicine
Ginger has been an important part of Chinese medicine for centuries. It's used to treat anything from colds and fever to nausea and indigestion. But it's probably best known as something to help cleanse and purify the body - a nice glass of hot water with some sliced ginger and a squeeze of lemon seems to do wonders when you're feeling a bit peaky. So that's why we use it in our natural detox super smoothie.
PS If you suffer from car sickness, try peeling a small piece and chewing it next time you're in the car. It should make for a more pleasant trip.
